My name is Alistair Cruickshank, I am from England and have taught English for 12 years to children, teenagers and adults, covering general English, business English and conversation. I have worked for universities, business schools, private language schools and have personal clients. My teaching experience is accompanied with having worked as an examiner for the English speaking board. I have also had a career in the media having worked for the BBC and incorporate communications. I have a good knowledge of literature, writing, sports and music all of which have played an important role in my own education. My exposure to many cultures has enriched me with an understanding of different perspectives towards life which I transmit in my classes. Having managed communications projects abroad has enabled me to develop the skills needed to communicate a clear and specific message combined with acquiring the interpersonal skills required to work well within a team. These experiences, teaching both English and media have allowed me to develop the discipline, patience and empathy required to inspire and motivate my English students.
